Characteristics
This
via is very well equipped and you will touch the rocks.
If you are lucky, you may observe some roebuck near by.
But if you would like to have a chance.... chuttt....

If you want to observe the climbers (who observe the
roebucks), go at the top of the Moiry's dam. Come with
the whole family and make them proud and happy!

GPS at the start:
Period:
From mid-June to the end of October depending on
the weather and the snow. The access with your car may
depend on the opening of the road of the Moiry's dam.
If the road is closed, you can walk. It will take you
1h30 from the center of Grimentz (or take your mountain
bike)
Timing:
Approach : 10 minutes,
Ferrata: 1h30 - 2h
Back to the parking: two options : 10 min with the road,
40 min with the path.

By
Car :
Take
the highway A9 Martigny - Sion - Sierre. Exit at Sierre
the second exit and then take " Val d'Anniviers "
(turnabout on the right and then first on the right) towards
Grimentz is 25 km away. In Grimentz go towards Moiry (8km)
by car or with the Bus (during the peak season)

By Train:
Contact the
train CFF . Go to Sion then take the bus to Grimentz

Access:
From
the Jean Jaurès Plazza atMorez, follow the river
towards Longchaumois, Saint Claude take on the left the
CD69 path (towards Saint Claude),
400 m on the left, a sign shows you the start of the via.
Access:
25km away from Sierre, you find the very charming village
of Grimentz. From the village, take the road to the Moiry's
dam (8km).
At
the bottom of the dam you have a parking. Leave your car
there. Walk 150m and the start is on the right. Follow
the Via Ferrata signs
Via
Ferrata:
The
first part of the via brings you to a vertical wall and
finishes with spur with good giddiness and a beautiful
view on the Val d'Anniviers. Then, this is easier with
a small climb and the first way out.
The second part starts with a difficult overhanging path
(about 20m). If you arrive to the other side, the rest
will be much easier.
A
splendid view on the Moiry's dam with its turquoise water
will also give you a nice giddiness impression.
The
way out passes near an old army bunker. Follow the path
till a house.
Back
to the parking
Two options:
-
take the road, not very sexy but only 10 minutes
- take the walking path: 40 min
The
official Bus rides during the peak season. Contact the
tourism office for further information
(Stop at the parking near the start of the via).
